The job of Purchasing Assistant is for the purpose/s of providing support to the purchasing process and maintaining vendor/source information and inventories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
Create purchase orders to vendors.
Follow up with vendors and ensure the purchase order is on track.
Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies
Create restocking level reports and work with every department to make sure we meet the stock levels.
Maintenance of a good attendance record in order to complete work assignments.
High school diploma or equivalent
Some basic computer courses may be preferred
Able to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs.
Attention to detail
Skills on using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong Communication Skills
