Job Description
Receiving Clerk who can assist in unloading delivery trucks and compare received products to packing slips to ensure that deliveries are complete. The successful candidate will also facilitate the return of damaged products to vendors and work with our purchasing department to update.
This position is located out of our Davie, FL office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Communicate with managers, peers, and subordinates on a routine basis regarding the flow of materials throughout Lex.
Identify information on incoming shipments comparing Lex purchase orders to vendor s packing slip.
Perform product sorts, counts, unpack, and log inventory which is received.
Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
Ensure that all verified incoming material is entered into Lex s electronic system in a timely basis.
Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file receiving records.
Safely/properly operate material handling equipment s to transport throughout warehouse.
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment (may require sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc.)
Promptly report to supervisor all observations that are relevant to ensure a safe and efficient operation in the department.
Follow OSHA, ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
Work with site supervisors to ensure that the correct product is in place for production schedules, shelve received items for stock in their proper location.
Gather materials for upcoming & scheduled jobs (kitting)
Work with and monitor incoming parts / kits count process. Ensure that incoming kit inventory is maintained at an accuracy of 100% absolute variance through cycle count, and work with Kit Inspector and area supervisors in case of discrepancy.
Assist in packaging materials and shipping if needed.

Familiarity with receiving documents (Bill of Lading, COC, MSDS/SDS, packing slips, etc.) and their applications.
Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet daily work schedule obligations; willingness to work overtime preferred.
Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability.
Must have good visual acuity.
Strong written and oral communications.
Ability to focus on the task at hand and work under the stress of deadlines.
Ability to follow procedures and written instructions.
Ability to use sound judgment in performing tasks correctly.
Capable of working in a team environment as well as autonomously.
Completes documentation timely and accurately.
Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
High school diploma or GED or any other equivalent diploma
Ability to work in metric and English units of measure.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment and work assignments
Valid forklift and Raymond certification preferred.
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs unassisted.
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
